UV B light therapy for psoriasis, vitiligo (white spot disease) and atopic dermatitis (neurodermitis).

The Saalux UV comb (UV B comb, 311 nm, also called "light comb") is used for UV irradiation of smaller lesions, especially the scalp, especially the scalp, but also other parts of the body. During the therapy, the diseased areas of the skin are treated in sections. In case of appropriate hair growth, it is necessary to part the hair so that the UV radiation can reach the scalp. The transparent removable cover of the UV radiator has two outer rows of combs for this purpose. These rows of combs also serve as spacers to the skin and should therefore always be used even in hair-free areas. This is the only way to ensure a constant irradiation intensity.

Due to the large irradiation area and high radiation intensity, the Saalux UV comb enables effective therapy. The very low weight and modern design facilitate handling during therapy.

The large, removable cover protects the UV comb incl. the UV lamp from contamination and is extremely easy to clean after therapy.

UV protective goggles are essential for safe use. They absorb the UV radiation, but are well permeable to visible light. The short-time timer features especially large digits and an acoustic signal tone.

The comb attachment supplied with the Saalux UV comb is suitable for convenient treatment of Psoriasis on the scalp. With its two rows of combs, it is used to part the hair so that the UV rays can act specifically and over as large an area of the scalp as possible. The comb attachment also serves as a spacer for the application of other body regions for a safe therapy.

Recommendation for use:

Before UV phototherapy, the scales and plaques should be removed as completely as possible so that the UV radiation can better reach the affected skin layers. The UV therapy that takes place afterwards is thus significantly more effective. The Saalux® dandruff remover, which is available separately or as a bundle, is based on grape seed oil and castor oil. Saalux® dandruff remover is thus a gentle alternative to classic dandruff removers containing salicylic acid.
