UV combs / UV Light Therapy Devices are generally offered in two versions: As UV-A (also UV-A1) and UV-B comb. Their special UV radiations are also found in lower strengths in natural sunlight. Unfortunately, our skin, especially in autumn and winter, does not always get enough sunlight exposure in our latitudes. Urban living habits, with longer stays indoors, promote the associated lack of Vitamin D. This can significantly negatively affect the immune system and the skin's regenerative behavior. UV Light Therapy – Application and Effect
The Saalux® UV Light Comb is capable of simulating sunlight during a UV therapy session, thereby promoting the production of Vitamin D in the skin – including on the scalp. However, the use of UV phototherapy should always be based on medical advice. The required therapy sessions for the treatment of Psoriasis, Vitiligo, or Eczema then last only a few minutes each. The incoming light affects the top skin cells and is not noticeable. However, in most cases, UV protective glasses should be worn for safety during application.
